Uses

  • Superficial bacterial eye infections

Dose and Duration

Superficial bacterial eye infections

Adult and child over 1 year: instill 1 drop every 12 hours for 6–8 days; in severe infection, apply 1 drop every 6 hours on the first day, then every 12 hours for 5–7 days.

Contra-indications

  • Hypersensitivity to tobramycin

  • Ocular discomfort
  • Ocular hyperaemia
  • Eye allergy
  • Eyelid pruritus

Patient Instructions

  • Discard remaining solution 1 month from first opening.
  • Do not wear your contact lenses.

Pregnancy

  • Can be used.

Breast-feeding

  • Can be used.

⚠️ Caution

  • Risk of cross-hypersensitivity to other aminoglycosides.
  • Prolonged overuse may result into over-growth of non-susceptible organisms including fungi.
  • May mask clinical signs of bacterial, fungal, or viral infections and may suppress hypersensitivity reactions.
