Magnesium trisilicate 250 mg + dried aluminium hydroxide 120 mg

Uses

  • Peptic ulcer
  • Heart burn

Dose and Duration

▼

Adult: Chew 2 tablets every 8 hours or as necessary

Up to 2 tablets per hour may be required

Contraindications

▼
  • Undiagnosed intestinal or rectal bleeding
  • Appendicitis
  • Metabolic or respiratory alkalosis
  • Hypophosphataemia
  • In patients who must control sodium intake

Side Effects

  • Diarrhoea, belching, constipation

Interactions

▼
  • Reduces absorption of several medicines

Patient Instructions

▼
  • More effective when tablets are chewed
  • Take at least two hours apart from any other medicines
  • Take between meals or at bedtime
  • Avoid prolonged use
