Uncomplicated malaria

As soon as patient can take orally, change to oral route and give a 3-day course of first line ACT
Severe malaria
Adult and children >20 kg: 2.4 mg/kg
Child ≤ 20 kg:3 mg/kg
Initially, give by slow IV injection over 5 minutes as in the table below. Follow by full dose of first line ACT
