Pneumonia in children
Child 1–5 years: 500 mg twice a day for 5 days
All other bacterial infections
Adult: 500 mg every 8 hours
Child 5–18 years: 250 mg every 8 hours
Child 1–5 years (10–19kg): 250 mg every 8 hours
Child 2–12 months (4–10kg): 125 mg every 8
hours
Child 1–<2 months (3–<4kg): 62.5 mg
every 8 hours
Child <1 months (<3kg): 31.25 mg every 8
hours
In severe infections, double the dose
